The very best of African football and

entertainment converged at the International
Conference Centre, Abuja, on a dazzling night,
to recognize outstanding individuals over the
past year.
Hosted by South African media giant Robert
Marawa and sultry Ghanaian actress Juliet
Ibrahim, the 2015 Glo-CAF awards was a
magnificent tribute to the African spirit, culture
and of course, her game.
Red-hot Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick
Aubameyang took home the top prize and
ended Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure’s four-year
hegemony of the award, to the delight of many.
With the fading of legendary strikers Samuel
Eto’o and Didier Drogba, he looks to be Africa’s
next big attacker.
Hosts, Nigeria, were not left out of the awards,
as U17 prodigy Victor Osimhen took home the
Youth Player award while Etebo Oghenekaro
was voted the most promising talent.

Women National Team of the Year: Cameroon
Fair play award: Allez Casa fans group of
