Dakuku Peterside says APC is ready for the re-run election

The governorship candidate for the All

Progressives Congress in the 2015 general
election, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, has said that his
party was ready for the rerun of elections
annulled by the Appeal Court.
The Independent National Electoral Commission
had declared that it was making arrangements
to conduct 78 rerun elections in some parts of
the country.
However, 38 out of the 78 reruns will hold in
Rivers State as the Appeal Court had nullified
some House of Assembly and National
Assembly elections held in the state in 2015.
Specifically, the court had ordered that fresh
elections should be conducted to determine who
would occupy the 24 seats in State House of
Assembly, 12 seats in the Federal House of
Representatives.
Other areas where fresh elections would be
conducted are three senatorial seats in the
state.
