Ibinabo Fiberesima says Emeka Ike wants to exploit new AGN members

President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Ibinabo Fiberesima-Egbuka, has insisted that she is still the president of the union and not Emeka Ike, who was rumoured to have dethroned her. The actress stated clearly that there is no resentment of any sort in the guild, noting that as far as she is concerned, Emeka Ike tried everything he could to get on that position “as low as he is” and that since there had been no election where he took part in, he is in no way the President of the guild. According to her, “There is no rancor in the guild. You see people get confused with tell tales, people just like lies. Did you ever go for an election where Emeka Ike took part in? “So how is he the president of AGN? That’s the only question I have for the press because you are giving him audience to talk. Did he run for any position in Actors Guild of Nigeria? No he didn’t!” “We have tried to settle things between Emeka Ike and I, but it all fell on deaf ears,” the ex- beauty queen told New Telegraph. On what went wrong between them, Ibinabo said, “Emeka Ike is not about running a guild; it’s about how much he can make from poor people that want to join the guild. “You see that N5, 000 or N20, 000 they make? That’s salary and food for him. I’m so sorry but that’s just how low he is.” When asked if they were friends, she said, “He is not! You see, he was once my friend but he is not any more. You don’t have a friend and do what he is doing. It doesn’t work. You must learn to grow, I have grown. They must learn to grow too. “There was chaos in AGN before I came in, but since I took over, there has been peace. Members have started gaining things and they have come again with chaos. When will it stop? Let’s think of our members for once and stop thinking of ourselves. “By the way, I don’t think I am still the president of the AGN, I know,” the ‘Mortal Sin’ thespian affirmed.
