Bosh out of All-Star Game, Horford in

Miami Heat center Chris Bosh will miss Sunday's NBA All-Star Game due to a right calf strain, his team announced on Sunday. Bosh spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Raptors and had been looking forward to the Toronto showcase. He was even planning to participate in Saturday's three-point contest. However, he will now be replaced by Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford.

"I am honored to be selected to participate in All-Star Weekend festivities and will still be here to support my fellow East All-Stars," Bosh said in a tweet from the Heat. He added: "I will also use this weekend to try to heal and focus on the second half of the Heat season."

Horford was on the way to Toronto from Atlanta on Friday afternoon. It will be his fourth appearance in an NBA All-Star game and he'll join Atlanta teammate Paul Millsap in representing the Eastern Conference on Sunday.

What a privilege to be named to the#NBA AllStarTO team. Looking forward to representing Atlanta! #Grateful— Al Horford (@Al_Horford) February 12, 2016.
