Siddikur Rahman leads the Mauritius Open by one stroke
Siddikur Rahman leads the Mauritius Open by one stroke going into the final day as Andrew Dodt slipped to tied-third following a dreadful back nine.
Bangladeshi Siddikur shot a three-under-par 69 to move to seven under for the tournament at the Four Seasons Golf Club, with a Jeunghun Wang - who won his maiden European Tour title in Morocco last weekend - a shot behind.
Dodt had started the day three shots clear and was five clear after the first eight holes, following birdies at six and seven.
But the Australian saw his advantage evaporate in dramatic fashion on the back nine as he posted three bogeys and two doubles to card a five-over 77.
Dodt came unstuck on the par-five 13th as an uplayable lie in a bush forced him to take a drop into heavy rough and resulted in the first of his doubles, the second coming at 15.
He is now level with Nicolas Colsaerts on three under, while Scott Hend is the only other player in red figures. Hend is fifth after his three-under round took him to one under overall.
Defending champion George Coetzee's hopes of retaining the title appear to be over, the South African is way down the field on eight over after carding three double bogeys on his way to a hugely disappointing 79.
Siddikur - who is seeking his first European Tour success - said: "I really enjoyed my round. It was a very special day for me. I am very excited and I will try to enjoy myself tomorrow [Sunday].
"Nothing's going to change. I'll just try and play the same way as I did for the last few days.
"I am looking forward to playing in the leader group again tomorrow."
