11 persons die as bus burns in Lagos state
A 14 passenger commercial bus lost its brake on Thursday, somersaulted and bust into fire around 6:20pm yesterday.
The bus was heading towards Berger by Otedola bridge in Lagos. LASEMA spokesman, in a statement sent to Daily Post confirmed that 11 persons which included 3 female, 8 male were burnt dead.
Three persons were rescued alive and were taken to accident and emergency unit at the toll gate hospital. The statement added that LASEMA’s response team, federal road safety corps, Lagos State fire service and the Nigerian Police were involved in the recovery and rescue operations.
