The rain didn’t deter New Yorkers from
participating in the 15th annual No Pants
Subway Ride yesterday. Hundreds of
straphangers took their pants off for the yearly
prank. Nearly 4,000 New Yorkers participated
in the event in 2015.
Tens of thousands of people from New York
City to Tokyo, Madrid to Moscow, descended
upon train stations around the globe, to ride on
public transportation with no pants on. The
participants behave as if they do not know each
other.
They’re celebrating the 15th annual No Pants
Subway Ride, originally started by the New
York-based comedy collective Improv
Everywhere. Participants in this year’s event
hailed from more than 60 cities in over 25
countries.
